about

Your jaw was kicked in, you just had surgery and it is now wired shut. The world is on a pandemic lockdown, most everyone is anxious and living in fear. Everyone has an opinion that they think is valid and is more relevant than the next imperfect human being that they run into. So they scream it. And use violence to prove their point.

Stupid people marginalize others and generalize and categorize other humans in a desperate way to feel secure and worthwhile. The world is protesting everything and full of media driven hatred. Thanks to said media and political bias, what used to be a factual black and white has run into a drab shade of claustrophobic grey. Which causes an underlying distrust. Which, in turn, robs those who were already struggling of what love they felt. The "leaders" and political clowns on all sides are incompetent, money driven instigators. The world feels insanely claustrophobic and those with love and good intentions are mowed over.

AND you can hear yourself getting dumber on all the painkillers you were given. So you stop taking them altogether and record three songs. Your friend comes and checks on you and adds drums to your ideas in a take or two. Then you sing with your jaw wired shut just to prove to yourself you might be able to.

That is a basic summary of this song lyrically and emotionally. You will say it's depressing and that is fine. Feel something and go show love to others and be a decent human being.

lyrics

Wake me when it’s over
Locked down, we see your movements
It’s not an oversight
and I can’t turn away now

Wake me when it’s over
Locked jaw, claustrophobia
Got the words at bay
but you’ll just turn away

Wake me when it’s over
I can’t breathe, I’m feeling under
All the time is loadin
I’m disappearing often

Nothing is feeling like it is breathing
Denial is feeding all of your demons
No love in your words or your actions
Hatred forms into all of these sanctions
And all around you everyone is out of breath
but you won’t stop

Wake me when it’s over
Locked down, I see your movements
it’s not an oversight
and I can’t turn it off

Wake me when it’s over
I can’t breathe, I’m feeling under
all the time is loadin
I’m disappearing often

Nothing is feeling like it is breathing
Denial is feeding all of your demons
No love in your words or your actions
Hatred forms into all of these sanctions
And all around you everyone is out of breath
but you won’t stop

Nothing is feeling like it is breathing
Denial is feeding all of your demons
No love in your words or your actions
Hatred forms into all of these sanctions
And all around you everyone is out of breath
but you won’t stop
